Non-Partisan Democracy-Focused Coalition. With dogs!

Climate change, wealth inequality, universal healthcare, tax fairness, civil rights, fairness for marginalized communities and frankly good government are prevented from being realized due to the meddling, influence and control of the two dominant political parties and their corporate/billionaire benefactors. As hard as we fight for these goals, powerful interests prevent real progress.

A coalition of people in the BuxMont/Philadelphia area whose goals are removing said obstacles could be an effective and powerful change agent in South East PA. The coalition would use its collective resources and talents to elevate and organize support for candidates, legislation, ballot petitions or court actions that bring about these changes. Working with local, state and federal candidates/electeds, party committee officials and activist organizations who can achieve these goals, this coalition would be open to anyone who shares these goals, regardless of party affiliation or organizational membership.

Focusing on election reform does not preclude members from working towards other legislation or issues important to them. And working on this coalition need not be a full-time effort for all members. But keeping the focus primarily on and changing how we elect public officials will make it easier to enact real, substantive change on most every issue that have long been goals for progressives and working class Americans.
